Lanxess Biocide D7

Preventol D7 is a versatile, broad-spectrum biocide known for its excellent water solubility, low toxicity,

and ease of use. It effectively combats bacteria (including formaldehyde-resistant strains), molds, yeasts, and algae.

Suitable for addition at any production stage,

it is ideally introduced into water initially. For high-temperature or high-pH processes,

it is recommended to add it in later stages with thorough mixing. Due to its low viscosity,

Preventol D7 can be used undiluted or mixed with water, and can also be pre-dissolved in alcohols or alcohol/water mixtures. As a preservative,

it is safe for aqueous formulations and outperforms formaldehyde-free alternatives,

particularly in protein-rich products like casein.

Compatibility testing is advised for new applications.

Preventol D7 is widely used in water-based paints, polymer dispersions, adhesive solutions, concrete additives, emulsions, polishes, surfactants, detergents, and disinfectants.
