Special precautions
The solvent-free version of this adjuvant is BYK-361 N.
Product features and advantages
This additive is used as an anti-shrinkage cavity and leveling additive in various solvent-based coatings.
Increases gloss and gives the coating a long-wave effect. Slightly reduces surface tension without affecting recoatability and interlayer adhesion. BYK-358N does not cause turbidity in varnish and does not cause haze in color paint. The auxiliary agent is thermally stable.
Suggested dosage
0.1-1% adjuvant dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the optimal addition amount needs to be determined through a series of experiments.
Addition method and processing guidance
The auxiliary agent may be added at any stage of the manufacturing process, including post-addition.
Product features and advantages
The auxiliary agent is used as an anti-shrinkage cavity and leveling auxiliary agent in various solvent-based and solvent-free systems. Slightly reduce the surface tension, which is beneficial to atomization spraying or powder spraying. BYK-358N will not cause turbidity of varnish or haze of paint.
Recommended Use
The auxiliary agent is recommended for various room temperature curing resin systems, for example, unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy resins.
Suggested dosage
0.1-0.5% adjuvant dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the optimal addition amount needs to be determined through a series of experiments.
Addition method and processing guidance
The auxiliary agent may be added at any stage of the manufacturing process, including post- addition.
