Product description
Eastman Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB-551-0.01) is notable for its low glass transition temperature (Tg) and second lowest molecular weight (Mn) in the CAB portfolio, enhancing its compatibility with other coating components.
It offers clear films, reduces surface tack and mottling, minimizes cratering, improves flow and thermal reflow, and provides inter-coat adhesion and UV stability. Compatible with various cross-linking resins and solvents, it is useful in lacquers for glass, plastic, wire, and release coatings, and is available in pellet form.
Derived from sustainably managed forests, it has an estimated bio-content value of 37%.
For food contact applications, refer to Eastman CAB 551-0.01, food contact.
